PAMELA BARRIOS
BIO
Pamela grew up in Mobile, Alabama. She moved to New York City in her early twenties and completed a BA in English at the City University of NY.
She trained and worked in rare book conservation and book arts at the NY Botanical Gardens, the NY Public Library, Yale University Conservation Lab, and the NY Academy of Medicine.

She moved to Provo UT to assume the position of rare book conservator at the L Tom Perry Special Collections Library at BYU and held this position for 20 years. She also taught book arts for 6 years for the University of Utah Book Arts Program.
PAINTING
Pamela earned a bachelor’s degree in Art and Visual Communications at Utah Valley University.
She has had two solo shows of her artwork, one at the L Tom Perry Special Collections Library at BYU and more recently at the Salt Lake City Public Library, Marmalade Branch. She has been juried into many local competitions including two statewide (Eccles and Scera), city-wide Provo Library and the AAUW (Artists Association of Utah Women).
