Life is sweeter in candy color! Katrina’s oil paintings are a celebration of those sweet moments in between the hard and unsavory...a refuge from the unwanted parts of life that so often visit us all. Thick strokes of paint & color with stained glass shine -- are windows to the deepest treasured memories in our hearts.  Life is rarely easy and jolly...but savoring the sweet moments give us the strength we need to find peace, growth, and fulfillment along our journey.
Formally trained as a landscape architect, Katrina’s work beckons the “outside-in” by depicting the natural world: flora & fauna in her yard, neighboring fields, and from her travels.  Katrina & her husband live in a quirky, but modern, concrete home in Midway, Utah with their daughter and 4 sons. You can listen to her podcast: the candy colored studio on her website (katrinaberg.com), or wherever you listen to podcasts.

What About Utah Inspires You?

It amazes me how so much good can bloom physically, emotionally and spiritually in this desert home that we call Utah. Its nature is overwhelmingly beautiful with its four seasons, high mountain tops, low valleys and everything in between. The flora & fauna that grow and flourish in this exquisite landscape remind me of God’s love for each of us. As the deer peek in my studio window and the starlings sweep round our home and its neighboring fields, they remind me of loved ones who’ve passed on but are ever watchful and mindfull of us. I can never tire of Utah, its beauty & ever-present gifts.
