Olga Hegner

Born, raised and educated in Moscow, Russia. (USSR at that time). Obtained a second law degree at the University of Illinois, USA. Passed the bar exam and was admitted to practice law in Arizona in addition to practicing in Russia. Enjoyed legal practice for years. Moved to Park City, UT in 2010; took drawing and painting classes, then took a lot of workshop with well known artists, participated in plein air events and exhibitions, joined art organizations - OPA, AIS, NOAPS, Portrait Society of America. As of today - continue learning and painting. I paint mostly in oils. And I draw and sketch quiet a bit. My subjects vary - landscapes, animals, still life, portraits - hard to point out a favorite one.

After a successful career in a field that had little connection to visual art I discovered the joy of painting. This discovery coincided with my move to Park City, UT. Not only I was able to find exceptionally good professional advice on drawing, painting and everything art in Utah - I got a lot of inspiration to create on my own. Utah has an amazing natural beauty, rich history and culture. I find inspiration everywhere - skiing on the mountains, hiking, meeting people, or just enjoying the vibrant local lifestyle.
