Laurie Lisonbee is a visual artist and painter of the human figure. Her roots are in Utah and California,
where she received an MFA in Drawing and Painting from California State University Fullerton. Painting
with oils in the tradition of realism, her artworks also incorporate found objects and antiques. They have
been shown throughout the U.S., including the Elmhurst Art Museum, Coos Art Museum, Springville
Museum of Art, Woodbury Art Museum, BYU Museum of Art, Austin Art Center, and Palm Springs Art
Museum. Her paintings, receiving regional and national awards, can be found in many private and public
art collections. Gallery representation is with A Gallery of Salt Lake City. Laurie Lisonbee has taught art
at colleges and universities in California and Utah, and most recently, she was an Assistant Professor
teaching Drawing and Painting at Texas A&M University. Her home and studio are in Woodland Hills, Utah.
