Jennifer Richter

I have been a practicing artist my whole life; beginning with colorful scribbles and evolving into a more coherent style. I create because it is challenging, rejuvenating, and rewarding. I also love to encourage others to develop their skills and style. I am passionate about doing the work, teaching others, and improving along side my students. STAND, LIFT, RISE is my motto and, BE A PRACTICING ARTIST is my mantra!

EDUCATION: I studied art at Brigham Young University in Utah and have continued my education with workshops, master classes, studying art books and professional art magazines. Artists who have influenced my work begin with my mother, Mary Adams, my university professors Neil Hadlock and Peter Meyer, professional artists including Dennis Smith, Gary Earnest Smith, Florence Hansen, Cherilyn Fisher, Anne Marie Oborn, Diane Turner, Rose Datoc Dall, J. Kirk Richards, Jeff Pugh, and Carol Marine.

EXHIBITS: My art has been displayed in the following venues; Springville Art Museum, Logan Fine Art Gallery, Repartee Art Gallery, Lamplight Art Gallery, Sandy Arts Guild show, Utah Valley Artist Guild, Utah State Fair, and the Bountiful Davis Arts Center.

AFFILIATIONS: I am a member of the Utah Valley Artist Guild and the Intermountain Society of Artists.
