Barbara Johnson

After teaching elementary school for thirty years, I enrolled at Petersen Art. I have taken the watercolor/drawing class from Harold Petersen there for over 10 years. After he passed away, I have continued studying with his grandson, Nick.

I have entered and won ribbons, including blue, at the Utah State Fair.

If I am accepted into your show, it would be my first acceptance into a juried show.

Utah's people often inspire me with their goodness. I was born in Oregon, but have lived all the life I can recollect here in Utah. The sights of Utah that make my heart happy are: mountains that can take my breath away, sunsets of brilliant colors, Southern Utah red rock, and even the stark western deserts.
